Im putting a C-301 in my 560, and I need a carb. According to my research the carbs are pretty much the same from the 560 to the 806 other than the venturi size. Anyone know where I can get the bigger venturi to put in the stock 560 carb? Thanks.

Yes I got the engine out of a combine but someone else stole the carb off of it before I got the motor. Thats why I am wondering if I can re-use the stock 560 carb. ( I really didn't want to spend $200 for a new 806 carb)

806 carb wont fit and look stock on a 560,,, they sit backwards. Find a 715 combine carb throttle body to replace the stock 560. depeding on the rpm range you want to run, say stock up to 10% over rpm, use a #33 or a #29 for best low end torque. For higher rpm operation, which really is where a 301 should be operating, (2800 rpm) use the #35 venturi. You may have to increase the jet size a few, but it will help for sure by using a 715 carb. The 560 carb, is primative,,, the newest design for the later model combines, say up to 1973, had the good carb. I have 4 of em if ya need one, I know I have a throttle body in good shape. If you find a 715 top half,,, set em side by side to the 560,, look down inside the throat,,, you will see more passages for fuel delivery in the combine carb, than the 560. They start easier, run smoother and have better torque. Hope this helps. ChadS ChadS3@hotmail.com

have several of them, did you take the engine out of a combine? If so use the carb off the combine, they have the larger ventura and look stock on the 560
