Just woundering, the difference in price, of a real weight, and a alummium weight, like the IH, or JD. don't need any, just woundering, Yea wood would be a lot cheaper.

I don't know about you but it seems like more work than it is worth to fool a couple pullers by casting aluminum weights. I keep my little notes from previous pulls on the weight distribution, drawbar length/height, chain length, type of sled, track conditions, and tire pressure. I go by what my tractor pulls. Hey maybe the competition has fluid in the front tires which effects how they look? Maybe the competition pulls with a near empty or full gas tank which obviously effects the weight distribution. Sure you can tell a lot by how the other tractors pull but I don’t think someone is going to add 800 pounds of weight just because someone else as a full weight bracket.

They have been around for years. a lot of guys in super stock like them for splitting up there wieght they normally wiegh about 25 pounds and they still fit and look like the rest of your wiehts. They were making some nice ones out of fiberglass too more as a gag or to keep the competition guessing as to how much wieght they were running.

You want a fake weight that's light but makes your tractor look heavy so you can go into a lighter pull class and maybe possibly spin your wheels?

Could you maybe make them out of wood?
