I have built a couple.AT 6.5 you are getting into the cam pretty bad with stock rod. Also rod length enters in .Definitely use a custom rod.If youy can afford to build a stroker you can afford to do it right.Save youy a lot of grief.

You can use an M rod just narrow it and remove access material from rod cap and clearance block, this is the cheapest way to go and you will not break a rod. If you use H rods be sure to box them.

Your best bet would be to contact Murphysmotor service.com, they build this set up using custom rods they make. If I could afford it, I"d already have it. Good Luck.

Im think the problem may be at the bottom of the bore. 4.375 x 7 with a 450 rod gets into the bottom of the bore a little bit. The H rod is smaller, and might make the difference, but I still but it will be tight. Dont take it from me, I've never built an M in my life, but seen a couple being build here and there. (and someone on here thinks I'm an idiot..lol).....AC
