Eric, YEP! During the state fair they had pulls,,, My sisters, showed contesting horses,, and got to compete, so we all would load up in the truck and head to INDY for 2 days. During that time, instead of sitting watching the horse show, dad and I would sneak out to the pulling strip to see if anything was going on. Used to see alot of trucks too!! then after a while, you seen antiques pulling there too,,, That was 20 years ago!! Chad

Sessions? How many sessions do they have now? Im sure its as many as possible to rape the common family out of a fun day of pulling. Im sure they have a session for a Mexican Donkey Show. Im sure all you greasy money hungry Central Ohio guys will be there with your fancy points jackets. I cant wait to hear about the new 3654545+645# class that one of the commitee members came up with for just one of there club tractors. Im sure that guy will get a jacket next year. Pullin at The Superpull was fun back in the 90s when there was less politics involved. Now I hear you get a free tube of lube when you enter a pull. Have fun and dont forget to grab your ankles when they hand you that lube.

The year I went was the year the F-20 stood straight up. that place was a pretty large site, plenty of indoor parking,, but so many showed up, so many antiques showed up, there wasnt room for anybody! But, it was a fun, for a short track. Wilmington OH site at the horse arena, was its twin pull. Back then, when you were pullin in the arena, could remember if we was pulling or getting bid on, or sold, but either way,, and anyways,, LOL! I say, if they dont want the antiques,, the antiques should take the name super pull and well, go make a new one somewhere else. Bring back the Indy Super Pull??? Anybody ever go to that one years back??? ChadS

I remember going to Indy with mom and dad one year when the snow and ice was so bad nobody should have been on the road. Did you ever go to any pulls at the state fair? That's what I miss. My Dad used to help when Ridgewine was in charge of that, but the track is long gone now.

Free magic governor spring just for you! May not fit anything you got cause they dont work on pedal tractors, but you can have one anyways. ChadS

Chads i don't remmber the indy super pull but i do remmber watch a video of it and it look like a good pull. I remmber one guy that pulled the mod class and had 2 tractors in the pull off. I think one tractors name was like BANDIT or something along that line.

Indy Super Pull in reply to pullerboy624, 02-01-2008 10:21:09
The Indy Super Pull was great until the mid-80's. That's when it became more of a show than a pull. Too many classes of two wheel drive trucks, four wheel drives, & mini rods. They pushed out the Super stocks and real farm-type tractors.

Just my opinion, WB.

I am not with the COATPA. The only reason i go is because it's my home town. I think rist bands last year was like 10 bucks a person and that only gets you into the moring pull if you want to go that and then you have to pay another 10 buck for the night show.

You can find rules at www.coatpa.com. They have a 4000 div 3 but i don't know about div 2. I was there last year and it was a good pull. They are still working on making the track better.

I think we are going to come back this year. I haven't been there for a few years but it sounds like fun, and I like starting the season early.
