4500lb class but the 4000lb class would be better. Not a lot of HP and 1st gear is very fast. The engine is rather heavy so a long stiff drawbar is required to transfer weight . On a clay track I can place well but on a loose sand or limestone track it's going to need taller tires with deeper tread.
The torque curve on a two stroke diesel is always at peak rather than peaked at mid rpms like a fourstroke. The fourstrokes is able pump more air per revolution when lugged down to about 1/2 to 2/3 of it's rated HP rpms. If geared too high she's going to bog down.
A two valve 2-53 might make 50HP at 2400rpms with N50 injectors and converting the oilbath aircleaner to a dry filter. The other manufactures have tractors in that weight range that can be easily souped to 75+ HP Better swap the stock rods for those that spray cool the pistons when injectores are up sized from the S35's.
