Long time Michigan pullers, Maurice Stine and good friend and pulling partner John Pardon, both passed away this week in seperate hospitals. Maurice 80 and John 77 were a well known duo as they campaigned a very competetive Farmall M around Michigan, Ontario and on the NATPA pulling circuits. During the 2003 and 2004 seasons Maurice and John logged over 20,000 miles following the NATPA points chase, finishing in the top 3 in points in both 6000 and 6500 dividion 3 classes. Both Maurice and John and the sharpe looking M will be sadly missed on the pulling circuit this year. It was my good fortune to have known, laughed and learned from these two men. My father and my friend. God Speed Fellas! Wayne Stine

Sorry to hear about your dad, Wayne. I admired his workmanship and pulling since the early 90's when he pulled his beautiful 656 with the MFSTPA. I saw him with his M in Wichita back in '03 and talked to him. He had that meticulous way of making his tractor beautiful and just a little different from the rest. He was a pillar of the sport and will be missed.

Funeral Arrangements - Update in reply to S.L.P, 02-08-2008 12:37:38
Thank you for all of your kind words and show of support. Maurice would be humbled. Also thank you for the picture, SLP.

Many of you have asked about funeral arrangements. Regrettably his wife, Sheila is also being hospitalized. Final arrangements have been postponed until it is certain that she is able to attend. Please check back early in the week for updated details.

Wayne, I am very sorry for your losses. I had the pleasure of watching your father pull at the Armada Fair many times over the years. he always put on a good show no matter which model of International he was pulling at the time.

Sorry for your loss Wayne , i had the pleasure of getting to know them this last summer . Your dad always set the mark to beat and was helpful in getting my Super M pulling better .

My last talk with him was over which cam shaft he was going to put in over the winter . I was looking foward to pulling with them .

Look foward to pulling with everyone this summer but it won"t be the same .

Sorry also for your loss. I'm sure these guys pulled for years not for the money or glory but just for love of the sport. Sounds like they were able to enjoy their final years doing what what they loved.God speed my fellow pullers.
