Patience is the best tool used. During the time the copper coat is curing, once its good n tacky,, just set the head on,, tighten the bolts/studs at 30 ft lbs and walk away for the rest of the day. Next day,, tighten the bolt.nuts torque within 10 ft lbs,, leave it sit for another 2-3 hours,,,, pour in the water,,, with the spark plugs out,, see if any leakage is present in the cyl, or in the crankcase,,, if not you can move on,,, go ahead and torque the bolts to spec,,, fire it up and let it idle for about 10 minutes,, and shut it down and recheck for leaks,, go back and check the bolt torques, but DO NOT over torque them,,, try to keep within the stock realms of the book specs for your make and model. The reason for letting it sit overnite is to let the glue, cure and harden in the nooks and cracks under a little pressure from the 30ftlbs of torque. lets it squish in and not expel the glue too soon,,, let it setup and dry,,, give it a chance to do its job. Hope this helps,, ChadS
