560 diesel ?

I was wondering,the 282 isn't a direct injection engine is it.If not how can you put more fuel to it when it's not really breaking the fuel down.As I understand it the nozzle has a pre combustion chamber. Can you change that and put a later model in it's place.Any advice on a cheap hp gain for a 282 would be helpful.Thanks,Alan

Ive got a 560 id like to keep diesel also. but Im wondering if a guy can take a bored out 301 put the diesel head on it and do this other stuff and have a good puller ????? any ideas on this ?? thanks

Take the sleeves out of the 282 and put 301 diesel pistons in it.

Put the IH miget nozzels in it from a 706 or 656 and you can put allot more fuel to it .Also you can put a larger head on the pump and turn up the rpm.

You can put a bigger hyd. head in the pump and gain a few HP pretty reasonable.
