I am looking for an input shaft to replace the stock one in a SuperMTA

I have taken the TA out and need to find a longer shaft.

Anybody know what my options are or where to find this, Is it the same shaft that is in the 450, and 460 tractors.

any parts dealers names and locations or builders that have one.

Oh and also, what are the clutch combos out there for the 12 inch package that can be put together for a 150+ hp M. how many buttons, 706,986 pressure plate, I am just throwing out models and numbers here.

thanks, ryan

thanks Farmallguy, I will do some more looking around, and thanks for the info on the plate, I may end up just building a 2 disc slipper.

Colekicker, this tractor will be running by our fair in september, Div 3. We are putting it together with the same guy that we are building the Pro Stock Diesel for.

I dont understand why peolpe think it is so difficult to make horsepower. 500-600 inches no it doesnt. cam, head, valves, and ignition. get the air in, burn it, get it back out. It doesnt take 15,000. 5,000 yes, besides it really doesnt matter what it costs, we can have just as much fun as the other guy, who cares what we spend, I spend the same amount each year on deer hunting, others have the same amount tied up in their RV or boat.

we currently pull a 100 horse H at 225 inches, so I figure a 400 inch M 150 horse should be a piece of cake. for all the non belivers out there Colekicker (who posted here earlier can vouch for me)

the pull in Cresent is (wharton) is April 25 weekend if you are going to try to make it down justin.

I have seen it done 2 different ways, but either way the bore centers have to be moved apart. And depending on which method you use, you may or may not have a center headbolt hole anymore.

450 propane head; 4.875 pistons; and 7.5 inch stroke. This will give more than 150 horse power. Go for it!!!
