How much spring pressure will Case gas rockers hold? the stamped style. Put in bigger springs, were at 450 lbs. will they hold 600 lbs ? Thanks

I don't know seat pressure but we run 4500 with no float, that's with a 202 valve with a 7/16 stem so it aint a lightweight valve train. These things are looong on the long side. Good luck on your project, if you are worried about the stamped steel rockers by all means go with what you are comfortable with, You are building it. Just telling you what we are doing with them!!. mEl

Customk, I am running those rockers in my DC with BB Chevy springs with dampers, I sectioned them and added 1/2 inch into the long side and moved the rockershafts away from the valves to get the short end over the pushrod slot in the head. hav'nt had to touch them other than routine adjustments in over three years. We run it flat out so its not babied and nothing in the valve train is giving.

But how heavy are the springs? How much is flat out, this will turn 5500 rpms.
