Get a split pedestal. You only need the top half that bolts to the frame, not the bottom half that has the spindles on it. Then, find the bottom bolster and hubs from an M/MT. They will bolt right onto the bottom of a split pedestal with little or no grinding, just as long as you use some socket head bolts as opposed to regular hex head bolts. The MT bolsters have much lighter hubs and a lot less cast, and your rims will bolt right onto the M hubs. Few people would even notice the difference, and it will function just fine. That should drop you another 50lbs or close to it. You could also unbolt the entire air cleaner assy from the radiator, there is a lot of dead weight there and for pulling you won't need it, just a filter or something off of the air pipe on the carb, and should you want to use the tractor for farm work at a later date, you can always just bolt it back on. Also, you don't need the rear end filled to the rated capacity with oil, as long as there is some in there, and you're just pulling it, you can get by with about half. After that, then you're starting to get into more extreme measures like cutting some things, weld-on hubs, etc, these were just the simple wrenching losses.
