VIRGINIA PULLER

I am currently traveling home from todays Edmund pull and wanted to compliment the pullers for the hospitality. Great track facility!
I have pulled everywhere and have never seen tougher competition than I saw today. Hats off to the 2 farmall M's that beat me today. Those are 2 bad machines, I hope they stay out of our circuit. Thanks again for the hard work that went into the new track.

If you look at the response the VIRGINIA PULLER & GREEN FEVER responses, both have the same IP address,in other words they are the same person what gives here.Looks like some one is trying to stir up something here by acting like they are someone else.I came from Virginia with the Moline U & pulled the super classes against the Farmall M in the 5000&5500# the older gentleman beat me in the 5000# class so what that is a very good pulling tractor with a whole lot of motor. You win some & you lose some. Why does a Moline U that runs 6 mph turning 2000rpm need to be in an outlaw class?Did I miss something? The farmall M pulled in the 4000# class but he was DQ because he was overweight I see Farmall M in the 4500# classes all the time what's the problem with that? This was as nice a facility as anyone will ever have & I was proud to be able to be there.Everyone in the area that tractor pulls should be honored to support this location due to the effort & expense that was put into this place.I wish we lived clser than 300 miles away so we could come to every pull.We brought 3 trucks with tractors over 600 miles a piece to pull how much do you think we spent in fuel, hotel rooms,& food?We love tractor pulling & the people like Michael & his family,if we wanted to come just to get a trophy don't you think it would be cheaper just to go buy one local at the trophy store how big a trophy could we get for the $1000 ther 3 of us spent to come pull. Thanks Tim Yates

Puller1, Really enjoyed meeting you Virginians & appreciated your coming to SC. You all were great competitors & were a pleasure to socialize with. Hope to see you @ the White Pine, Tenn pull later this year. Maybe we'll have a rematch in 5000# super. Thanks, Sam

We had a great time great track and sled, Michael did his homework. Seen a lot of great tractors. Just wish the storm would have helded off to pull bigger tractors.

I would like to add that Michael's Super rules, weight rule combing the 11ft from center, all that I read through showed more common sense than I have seen from other clubs in the south. Like No weight limits on the super 3,000 rpm. etc. This may encourage more people to build super's instead of modifieds and outlaws and that would be great to have more competition. Its no fun to show up and pull and be 75 feet in front of every body else in the class. The only thing that shocked me today were some of the stock 2 lungers screamin.

Virginia puller, that is normal for our local tracks, no rules to even the competition for the rest of us. National rules do not allow M's to pull as light as they were today or to turn the RPM'S they showed today. But, I dont feel sorry for you and your moline u either. You and the M's out there today all should be in some type of outlaw class. There is no way for the rest of us to compete until rules are changed.

i think there should be a maximun gear and a speed limit in the super class. every body doesnt have a tractor that will run 10 to 12 mph. so if you have a speed limit of 5 or 7 mph then i think it will make it closer for the other tractors to pull. also most people dont have all that money to put in a 12 mph tractor to pull with.

Oh yeah . My tractor has a baby engine in it compared to some of the large engines Gary builds .
I sure would like to see some of his big ones pull.I bet they are really stout.
As far as speed limits,.You are probably right. Our club SATPA and many others in the area do have speed limits in the super classes.
I think we have 3 class for the enhanced tractors 5, 6.5 and 12 MPH.I think these are correct but don't quote me on that but I think that is correct.
Good Luck J.D. Plow Boy and come pull with us some. We also have a lot of good people and tractors and a GOOD safe track .
DR

If you do the work yourself it doesn't cost all that much but it is an awful lot of work.I really can not take all the credit for the motor in my tractor.Gary Baker who is the nicest person and the best Farmall engine builder probably on the planet instructed me over the phone how to build the engine and I put it together with many hours of work and not much money and a whole lot of direction from Mr. Baker.I have less than 5000.00 in the engine and the bulk of that was in the crankshaft. I am thankful to Gary because of the methods he uses I would have never thought of on my own. He's as honest as the day is long.
I have never met him in person but am looking forward to meeting him. He's one smart and obviously hard working dude.
Tx, DR

You're right AND I'M BUSTED and apologize for pulling the M in the 4000 lb class . Thinking about it afterwards I should not have done it. Most of or maybe all the clubs in this area say no M farmalls below 4500 lbs .I wanted to see how the M would do with LW'S Little Moline .He always has some super bad equiptment and is hard to beat.I was over 275 lbs so I did lower the draw bar 2 " to help compensate for the additional weight and I did D.Q. the tractor for the over weight as soon as I finished the pull. Again I apologize and won't do it again. As far as my tractor turning too many RPM'S .IT WAS NOT .I would be scared to turn it more than 2500 with the stroke it has .Rules at this track says 3000 in super classes. We had a good time and Michael should be commended for a super job on the first pull with such a SAFE nice facility and good equiptment. The location is great too , just off I-20 only a few miles.

Danny, there is a pretty bad m waiting for you in the 6500 super class if you will heavy up and give him a shot.He can not get light enough to see you at 4500 or 5000.

I have pulled it as high as 7700. So sure , as long as he is running a M -450 block engine not turbo charged we'll hook them up. I don't especially like pulling that heavy . Tough on the driveline on a good track but what the heck it should be OK.I'll try it Tx, DR

over 5 hours of great pulling, superb track -- looking forward to going back.
