I was wondering if anyone has played around with roller rocker arms on their antique tractors. I have a couple of friends that built sets for their stroker tractors. What kind of advantage or performance gains were found?

More ratio on a custom roller rocker can increase valvelift/flow without higher cam lobes.

Burns my '51 "G" I put roller rocker arms,my theory is anytime you can reduce friction you make H.P.,now a roller cam would be very noticeable, but you go increaseing engine rpms above rated rpm the safety factor has got to be dealt with, read my last post.just a shade tree mechanic's two cents worth.Gman

Gman, I have heard of people building Roller lifters for the Deere, but never seen any or talked to anyone running them... You would have to find someone to modify the cam to match, which would not be that hard.. Not sure how you would keep the lifters from turning, but I'm sure there is a way... later..
