NOT MANY PEOPLE DON'T HAVE CASE TRACTORS FOR PULLING. I THINK THEY MIGHT BE A GOOD TRACTOR TO MAKE ONE OUT OF. I FOUND A CHEAP 970 POWERSHIFT. IT HAS A BIG MOTOR IN IT. DOES ANYONE THINK THIS TRACTOR WOULD BE A GOOD ONE TO PULL AGAINST JD & IH'S. PUT A TURBO ON IT TURN UP FUEL AND PROBABLY HAVE A DECENT TRACTOR. A GUY AROUND HERE PULLS A STOCK 1066 WITH JUST THE FUEL TURNED UP AND HE CAN COMPETE WITH MOST OF THE OTHER GUYS. ANYWAY THANKS FOR YOUR ANSWERS.

A 504 case tuned right will compete with any other eng. The powershift will need a little tweaking but i know of a 1070 that put out 275 on a dyno and powershift held up good luck.

Do yourself a favor and go with the gear transmission. The powershift will come nowhere near handling the power you can make with the 504. Don't waste any money on the powershift because even tweeked they will not take it. The gear trans will handle gobs of power. art
