I have seen the one posted before with 400 plus cubes.I understand ALOT of grinding for clearance in cam area. I was under the impression a 273 block with a 262 crank brings you to 336CID. Someone correct me if I was given the wrong info.

If memory serves me correct the 262 motor is 3.5625" bore x 4.375" stroke. 273 is 3.75" bore x 4.125" stroke. So the 262 crank only gives you 1/4" more stroke, which should put the 273's cubes up to about 290.

There's not much room in there for big bore or stroke. 120hp would be the max if you can make it swing. They've got a lot of initial potential. A gas will go 90hp with just LP pistons. custom rods for clearance and a smaller journal will get you some stroke. I've heard 5.5" stroke and 4" bore (415 cubes), but it's hard to believe. The cam is already clearanced from the factory to clear the stroke.
