I don't know why anyone would want rules to an ottpa pull. Their rules only apply to their clique of points contenders and everyone else who pays their $8.00 per hook is just putting money into ottpas' bank account. It is funny to me how you can take 4 or 5 of the best pullers in the State of NC and when they pull with Ottpa these pullers get beat by 30 or 40 feet by, of course, Ottpa points contenders. Can anyone explain this to me. This has not happened once, but more numerous times than I can mention to alot more people. This is the pulling association that in the middle of a class, before their pullers pull, will stop the pull and repair a hole in the track with scraper and packer before resuming with their points contenders pulling on the fixed track. You may say I am a sore loser, but I simply want an explanation for what seems to be "Dirty Pool."

I'd have to agree that OTTPA does a pretty good job with their pulls. Sometimes it's quite a trip to and from, but they offer some of the best competition in the area. I've only made it to a couple OTTPA pulls this year, but did get one first and one second. Lot of nice folks, and some very stout competiton as well. They are one of the oldest clubs in the area and I think one of the most progressive as far as rules, and new classes go. Looking forward to pulling at Denton next week. Hope to see yall there!

Planning on being there. Bring your tractor if you can. Should be a healthy crowd. I'm afraid the weather will be sweltering. Looking forward to some of that home-made ice cream.

Have pulled with ottpa off & on since they started, I am not a member, but I think they have seen the light, its not anything like it use to be.There are some really good people that pull with them.As to sled I think catpa sled is best in NC.

I pulled with OTTPA for many years before I quit pulling with them. Got tired of having to redo my tractor every time they changed the rules to make me less competive Iam talking mid season. There are still a lot of good people there I just am better off not hooking to there sled. Another reason out siders dont do real well is that there sled is too small so they go with a long chain and raise the hook point on the sled so they spin you out instead of letting you get a bite so you have to wieght your tractor different than with a large sled. They have the same problem when the hook to a large sled until they learn to weight their tractors different.

I HAVE PULLED WITH OTTPA NUMEROUS TIMES AND NEVER FELT LIKE THIER PULL WAS RIGGED OR FAVORED ONE TRACTOR OVER ANOTHER . I PULL WITH THEM WHENEVER I GET A CHANCE .WHICH IS ONLY A COUPLE TIMES A YEAR AT BEST AND HAVE WON MY SHARE . WHICH I'M REALY PROUD BECAUSE THEY HAVE A GOOD SIZE CLUB WITH USUALY A LOT OF TRACTORS IN EACH CLASS. SOME OF THESE TRACTORS ARE REALY GOOD TRACTORS TOO. I MUST ALSO SAY THE PULLERS HAVE ALWAYS MADE MY SON AND I FEEL WELCOMED WHEN WE GET TO GO TO ONE OF THIER PULLS . I WISH PEOPLE WERE NOT SO QUICK TO COMPLAIN ABOUT ANTIQUE PULLING CLUBS . IT ONLY HURTS THE SPORT AS A WHOLE. OTTPA IS ONE OF THE OLDEST PULLING CLUBS IN THIS AREA THEY MUST BE DOING AT LEAST SOME THINGS RIGHT. TX, DANNY HOGGE
