on the right side of the tractor there is one fitting coming out of the pump . I beleive that is for single action cylinders . On the left, there is two fittings for double action cylinders. I think.

That's incorrect. The two front outlets are for single acting cylinders. The rear outlet on the left side is for using a delayed cylinder to raise the rear of an implement, ie;a tandem disk, after you raise the front.

Randy do you have a double or single acting hyd. system? If you have single acting system and a double acting cylinder you need a breather in the side of the cylinder that is not used so air can move in and out.

Randy I just realized that if that you needed a breather it won't lift well either. Maybe there's something clogging it ( if you have that type ). Are all your hoses connected right?

Check your hydraulic couplings to make sure they are all the same. Some have points and some have balls. If you have a point and a ball coupled together they don't always work.
