Hello,
I have recently started restoring my 8N tractor. I am looking for the correct paint codes for Sherwin Williams Auto paint. I picked up a quart of N1750A but looking at it it looks way too white. I"ve only painted the front rims. If I have the wrong color, I would like to change it now. Thank you. I have searched the archives and not found my rosetta stone. (looking for the correct red too)

Hey Rick, I used there paint on my restoration project and could not be happier. Any paint will fade after if it sets in the sun 5 to 10 years. If doing a restoration,,,,make sure got a place to park it out of the weather. phil

You are probably better off with Sherwin Williams, or any other major brand. Most of the premixed stuff is synthetic enamel, fades fast. Ask them what kind of paint it is. If they say enamel, ask them to be more specific. Acrylic enamel is better, better yet is acrylic urethane. Be sure to use a supplied air system if you use hardener.

Do you have the 8N red and gray codes for Sherwin Williams? I would much rather have their paint.
