Just seen another deal on Bush doing something on an immigration bill of some kind. Didn't take the time to waste my time reading it but I will have to say this. Now you all might think I'm a biggot or something, not really! I don't have anything really against any nationality on the face of the planet. They just need to stay in their own country. If their country is not as good as the US, then they need to make it better, not come over here and help add to the over population of the US. I know, I know the United States started out as a melting pot of "immigrants", thats all well and good, but that was over 200 years ago. The pot is running over!

True story from Illinois about four weeks back. Mexician worker went to his plant boss and wanted to know why he had money taken from his check. Was told the ssn # he was using had a garnishee on it. He said he was quiting, but would be back tomorrow. He was and with a new SSN # and other papers and of course a new name. Was hired back no questions asked. Now this is just one of thousands of plant owners in America using as Washingtion DC calls it ROCK bottom labor. The infrastructure over of 12 plus million illegals from mexico is worse than terriors. INS has started raiding dunkin donuts and they are over loaded with india illegals. Another reason SSN is going down. Get off the plane and sign up for SSN. Check it out.

IF AND I MEAN IF our government wanted to build our fence, we could use like many places--a fair warning fence then if you cross over all hel l breaks loose. Sorry I don't think we need high teck drone planes, and --my political friends may have other friends that sell them--- I don't. So my solution is land mines with lots of propaganda sheets dropped into mexico claiming many deaths due to land mines--- should work. Make that 24/7 also.

Now I will jump the fence myself and wonder how the government that seems to have little common sence does screen anyone. You forgot to dot a i so no to you etc.

And then we have to wonder why not some folks, but others we will pay for their college etc. especialy if they are good at sports.

Our government wants cheap help for big business, and some day out grand kids will be doing the hard labor job because others will own the companies because they got all the government grants.

While some including myself rant about it my question is what differance does it make what new sweet laws our government make if like the rest they are not inforced.

Has any of you given thought of these folks becoming legal citizens and making little money? They will repace many taxable dollars from original citizens because (original citizen) lost his job. OH OH but there is a aditional twist to this game. Anyone ever hear of earned income credits where Uncle Sam hands out perhaps $2,00.00 dollars for low income legal citizens? I'm resonably sure that this money will come from tax dollars that we pay, and won't come from the sky. Do you think I can calm down now?

Local public hospital hospital lost over $7 Million last year due to its emergency room operation. Mecicans come in to get the baby's cold/flu/headache/fever treated and just wait for untold hours, sitting in the hallways for free medical care. Our taxes are going up wtih no end in sight. Many hospitals here and in Mexifornia are closing their emergency rooms because they just can not afford to treat all the non-legal immigrant criminals. Even with insurance a legal citizen can hardly get treated for a real emergency. School bonds are constantly being voted on to expand for criminal immigrants who pay almost nothing into the tax base. This country is headed for a formal two-language state, and its democracy can't last much longer. It seems there is no will to make the USA survive by defending our borders. Tom

The Illegal immigration is the part that I cant stand. 1 guy or many jump the fence down there for a better life, and many that come over are criminals...Period. And suck down our money in welfare and SS benefits. In some nations if you "broke in" to their country they may hold you as a spy, or enemy of somesort. They dont belong here, send them home, All the Billions spent in Iraq could easily build a huge barrier 50' with razor wire, all concrete center section with a mote filled with alligators to keep them out. And national guard troop armed with guns every 1/4 mile. Nuff said.

i don't have a problem with immigrants as long as they come in legally. any one who comes into our contry illegaly ahould be sent back to whereever they came from and NEVER have a chance to become a citizen of US. any children born to illegal sent back and have to start at point a. anyone here more than 10 years and not a US citizen is out of here. my ancestors came here from scotland, sweden, germany and probably england some of them in 1600's. they learned english the customs and became Us citizens and flew the American flag not that of their homeland. to give the characters the right to stay here because they snuck over the river or in back of truck or hold of a ship is BS. THEY ARE CRIMINALS AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH!

I don't know- I watched two hispanic guys doing the lawn at the office across the street yesterday- kept working, never stopped to smoke or bellyache- one of them had only one arm, but I didn't see any "accomodations" being made for his disability. And they probably came to this country exactly the same way as our ancestors did- just showed up!

Unfortunately, reasoned comments aren"t really all that welcome there...The problem is that both Gary and Mike are correct: we are a nation of immigrants, one of the differences being we"ve never had practically unlimited and unregulated immigration over one of our land borders, from a country with a high birth rate and governments that"ve had, and do have, no intention of changing a basically medieval political and economic system, using the US as a safety valve. Most of the individual illegals only want what our ancestors wanted: a better life, and they"re happy to work for it, and emplyers love "em. Like Benny Hill said of older women, they don"t yell, they don"t tell, and they"re grateful as h---. But we"re having digestion problems; where does assimilation end and transformation of our society into a Hispanic Mexico-type begin?? I apologise for being long-winded, and my email is open; if anyone wishes to discuss this, or my view (control imperative) please let"s not fill up this forum.
