I have a 222 with a blown engine (a 14 hp Kohler) and found a parts tractor, a 220. I was hoping someone would know what size engine might be in this machine and also if anyone knew the finer points of pto clutch work on these Case machines. I put a new pressure plate on it a few years ago but haven't been able to get it adjusted to my liking (if i get it tight enough it slips into gear and I have to bungy the engage handle back). Thanx for any and all help.

The last no. in the model is the hp.Example 220 is 10 hp,448 would be 18 hp. and yours should be a 12 hp.PTO clutches are tricky and time consuming to adjust. If you plan on keeping the tractor you might check into installing a ez adjust clutch from an Ingersoll dealer. These came on the later Case models and make adjusting the clutch a 2 minute job.
