Be careful when buying tractors, etc. from Tony from Sasketoon, Saskatchewan, Can.The battery will be missing, the radiator will be drained, and the "runs great" means oil and antifreeze runs down over the engine.

If you had a bad experience with this guy, you are right on the money to let the rest of us know about him. That doesn't mean he's cheated on every tractor he's sold, but apparently he sure cheated you. Remember: the guy who makes a living trading used tractors today probably had ancestors who traded horses a couple of generations ago. We all know what a sorry lot those horsetraders were. Buy American from Americans. At least you'd have a chance of using the law to get your money back here. Sorry about your Canadian transaction.

Buying anything without seeing it first makes you a gambler. Anything worth reaching deep in the pocket for folding money, whether it has a picture of George or Elizabeth is worth driving the distance first to look at what you are reaching for. I've been tempted myself, because I've seen some fine pictures of rare interesting tractors from north of the border, but resisted and chose not to lead out with my chin, because pictures can be deceiving. Better luck, and better judgement next time.

One of the nicest, most original JD tractors I own came from Tony in Canada. I,ve seen several tractors he has shipped here and all were as described in exceptional condition. It is unfair to reference this man as a crook.

Bull.
If Tony ripped him off, he's dead bang right to call him a thief. Absolutely, unequivically right.

If you can not spell the "big words" such as unequivocally, one should not use them!

Unless I know the individual personally I have a self-imposed rule that if I can't lay my hands on it I won't buy it. I still get took once in a while, but in that case I am nearly as guilty as the other party. Doesn't ease the pain any, but at least I know who to blame.

You haven't saw anything till you get shafted by Brian Jensen( pioneert Tractor Inwood) Biggest LIER & crook I ever ran across, I have bought twice from Canada both times were I was taken. I'll never buy across the line again. I talked to a lawyer about Jensen He told me if he was in the states it would be no problem. But it would cost to much to go there

I think you can find a Tony anywhere.. There are also Tony's in the US too. The best cure for a crooked seller is a wise buyer. Know what you're buying. If a tractor doesn't run, you might expect the worse. If you're buying a piece of junk,, that's just what it is, something for parts.

I am not brave enough to buy a tractor without at least seeing it and even so heart overcomes mind and I screw myself buying and hoping it's not stuck too bad.

Learned most dirty tricks from our own government and the rest from dealing with Americans. Seriously, you think there is a higher percentage of crooked Canadians than dishonest Americans?

We talked about the Massey show in Newcastle a while ago. Where do you live and do you work at GM (the buick thing makes me think GM)? I live in Oshawa and work at GM.

Have a 280,000 mile Grand national that runs in the 12's with the origional bottom end. Deere is self explanitory but the person "So" in a previous posting may not catch on. Rather than being an inpoverished farmer I'm a Hydroid. Just transfered last week from Pickering to a rural station and moving to 50 acres.

I was with Siemens in Pickering A for a year in 2001.

What rural staion are you moving to? I used to work for Siemens Westinghouse (was Westinghouse then Siemens bought us) in the Power Distribution Service industry so I know alot of the hydro stations.

Talk to you later

Went from B-crew Pickering A to Inspection Services UDM division at Bruce "A". You probably worked for Brad Schofield and knew Jason MacGee. Should I or do you want to try to explain it to "So". I'm not certain if he can't or choses not to understand.

I quote "Learned most dirty tricks from our own government and the rest from dealing with Americans.
Seriously, you think there is a higher percentage of crooked Canadians than dishonest Americans?"

What do you mean by that? The rest of what you refer to in your other post arent a problem. This is what I want to know.If in that post, are you refering to Americans as crooks? Are you putting American and Canadian crooks down?WHat do you mean.I as an American, would not appreciate it if you were!I understand there are crooked people everywhere, and if your comments were targeted at the Americans,I want to know why?

Perhapes a third party could explain how sarcastic humour can be used to counter the initial posting which claimed all Canadians are crooks. "So" seems to be able to dish it out but can't take it.

All I asked is for a simple answer, yes or no.I do not intend to start some kind of war,or to "dish it out" with you or anyone.I just simply wanted a yes or no answer.I did not veiw your post as sarcastic, and I appologize for that, but if you had just simply said that to start with I would have not posted anymore about it.I take pride in my country,as I hope everyone else takes in their own,America or Canada or wherever they are from.I am sorry if you cant see why I could be offended by those remarks,if in fact they were aimed at Americans. I wish you a good day my friend.
