JD Tractor - I am looking for a little help.

I recently acquired a John Deere tractor. I have been trying to establish model, year, value, etc. It appears that the year is between 1968 and 71. The model closely resembles a 4020 from the pics I saw on this web page. Can anyone tell me how I can determine the true age and model of this tractor? It is a diesel, with a fresh motor. It has many gears, I would guess 5 forward and 3 reverse. Weights on front and back, hydrolic auger, but no blade. Any help or pointers would be appreciated!

Twopop, I got a little info off of the tractor and was hoping you could help. The engine is a 6 cyl. w/ hydrolics on the dash. The only number on the engine that I could find was 23E195-88 (or 23E195488). The tractor type: T213R and serial number 188145R.

Thanks again for your help.

Thanks for the tips. The tractor is at another location so I will have to take a look at it next weekend. I am sure it's a 6 cylinder, but I don't think it is turbo charged. I beleive the hydraulic levers are on the Right side of the seat. The Throttle is on the stearing column. (I will verify these things). Thanks again for the help!!!!
