I have read the book, (the melodeon) aloud at Christmas now every year since 78 to m family, and I get asked to come to one house one year and the next the next f the kids now to read it at their houses. It is by Glendon Swarthout. If you like old timey storys thatll leave a tear in yur and all who hears it eyes about tractors, and farming, and Depression times, then youll love this book, I promise. ONE THING. Tear out and dont read aloud the last chapter. It ruins the feel of the whole story. Hope ou can find it

I've been looking for a copy of that movie for a few years now.
Have you seen the movie-made in '78 with Jason Robards? It was made for TV and was on CBS,I remember watching it-I was 10 then.

The 1978 television movie with Jason Robards is available on video, and is called "A Christmas to Remember".
