I've asked this question to several people and no one can really tell me. Can someone tell me the difference between a Super H and Regular H tractors? I have a regular H. Is it just the pump? What will it take to make it a super H?

Mike

What all these guys told you is right on the money so I can't add much other than personal experience. I grew up on a Farmall M; great tractor but that slow gearing could drive you nuts! I always tried to grab the Massey Harris 44 when I was sent to rake hay because of it's faster fourth gear. I have a '53 Super H and from the standpoint of power, Iitreminds me of an M but with faster third and fourth gears. I really like this Super H a lot.

Gentlemen, You have covered everything a hundred times better than I could have. But I would like to add this.I once had a 1953 Nebraska Field Trials Results book. The two differences I remember very well are, third and fourth gears were a lot faster and the engines were more powerful in the Supers. The test results stated the actual speed in each gear at governed RPM and the drawbar and PTO HP. I have owned a 1947 H and a 1952 M. The M had disc brakes. Thanks MT.
