I am making a model of a 730 john deere tractor
(out of a 110 John Deere riding lawn mower).
I need infomation how the 2 dashes are laid out.
I know the top dash has the gauges in it but I need to know which gauges and there locations.
I also need to know the lower dash layout. How did the 730 start. Did it have a foot peddle or a push button in the dash to start it? Was there a key switch or thumb switch? I have the hood and gril done and I am now starting on the dash.Thank you
I have a few photos if anyone would like to see them. Shoot me an e-mail and I will send them to you. I allready built a 4020 Mini out of a 110 John deere mower.

Larry;
On My 1959 730 Diesel the tack is on the lower left of the slant dash, The oil pressure is above it and to the right just left of the steering post. The dash lamp sets above the steering post and the temperature gage is to the right of the steering post with the charge indicater light to the right of the temp gage and the fuel gage is on the lower right corner. On the flat dash panel The ignition and the light switch are on the lower left and the starter push button above it . the dash light is above those and in the center with to blanks on the right with nothing in them. The blanks could be for a lighter or something else.
My 730 starts with a push button and a foot pedele compression release.

Larry,

If you don't get any other responses, let me know. I can go out to the farm and take pictures on our 1959 730 gas. Starter is a thumb switch and push button. I would like to see pictures.
