I had a '53. I guess it wasn't a Nomad, but it was a good car. I put some pieces of coil spring between the rear axle and the frame for overloads. Hauled a ton of lime in it once.

Chevy made the Nomad two door special sport wagons in 1955-56-57, the nomad name showed up on regular station wagons for several years thereafter. john in very cold nebraska
