I refit my 446's original Onan BF engine with a Kohler Command Pro series 25HP engine. Some machine work was involved as well as some other retrofitting for the electric clutch. I have used Case/IH hydraulic oil in the system for a long time, but, the Ingersoll dealer informed me that there is an all organic oil sold by Ingersoll to be used in the hydraulic system, I got some but havn't installed it yet so can't give any feedback. The overspeed condition you have experienced as was previously stated normal when running downhill, but, this should be mitigated by using your brake (don't laugh yet)...there is a spring that should be connected to the flow control valve via the speed control shaft and this will proportionally scale back your speed with the brake as well as hydraulic flow at the same time and mostly eliminate the condition. Hope that helps out. This is a really great machine and puts alot of other to shame. It is really hard to kill, I've had mine for 24 years. Errol Parachojuk Merrimac, Ma
