My brother is experiencing intense problems with his 1206. The hydraulic circuit must have a major leak. When the tractor is in gear and moving, then you turn the steering wheel at all, the clutch pressure drops and disengages. We"ve already re-sealed the MCV and steering unit behind the batteries, but no help. According to the manual, we need to pull the front bolster off of the tractor and re seal the steering motor, but I wanted anyone"s input if they"ve experinced this before with their tractor. If it"s a failing aux. pump or manual steering motor behind the steering wheel, I"d much rather do that than remove the nose of the tractor for the steering motor if that"s not the problem. We just don"t want to stab in the dark. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Dano. Have you been able to remedy your problem with the hydraulics? My brother has an 806 that is acting exactly like you describe your 1206. Could use some help if you find anything out. Thanks

Hi Dano, may be the key on the MCV pump shaft is broken or check for a bad relief valve. When the steering is off, does the hitch, remote and PTO work? May be broken splines on the pressure plate and PTO shaft. Bernard le mécano Québec Canada

Check the output of the pump with a flow meter, against spec's.
