I bought one with cab, heat and 2 row corn head for $300 3 years ago. Had to drive it 70 mile to get it home. Have combined 250 acres of corn so far with no problems. I don't think it would look as good as yours but it works good for the money I spent.

Buddy paid $500 for a 4400 combine without heads, had a cab & heater, good 292 Chevy 6-cyl. engine. Has about twice the capacity of Your 55. He ended up scrapping His 55. Too big to haul, or cut up...

We paid $800 for our 55. It is a 1969 model and has all of the options.

One of the best machines made for cutting alfalfa. Drop me a line on email and we'll see if I can give you any good information.

$800-$1600. You'd think they would be worth a lot being they're so big, but there are a lot of parts to wear out, lots of hyd cylinders to repair, rust problems in the hopper, grain separator that can make a big impact on yield %. And any engine work is up and down the ladder, up and down the ladder, etc. Last but not least, belts. Since it is belt drive, big expensive belts. Look good now, but after 30 yrs of sitting, put a load on them and poppo. Same with the front floatation tires.

Good Luck,

Mrk
