Goats will kill it if they are pastured there for about 4 years. If it is in surrounding areas, it will grow back in after the goats are gone. The goats wiil require other feed during the winter.

Buy a herd of feeder pigs and let'em have at it.

Now that is probably a better idea or run pigs with goats if real heavy kudzu. The root ball on these things can get pretty big. With those pigs rooting about they should be able to get it to the surface and chomp, chomp.

Roundup will kill it but you have to be careful or you will kill the tree too. I usually find the main trunk(?) where it climbs into the tree/s and cut about a foot out of it. That will kill what"s in the tree/s then keep mowing under the trees or spray the ground with roundup.

My Dad always told me that putting cows on it will kill it in 3 or 4 years... Never saw it done, so I cannot say if it really works.....

You do that and you will become a millionaire in the South. This is a very agressive plant and to my knowledge no known enemies other than us. If it were me and this stuff was coming in I would invest in a herd of goats. Those goats will eat anything or that has been my experience with them. Maybe a side market for the meat too.

Here are some links to assist in your uphill assualt. May also want to check with your local Ag Center - they may have some local insights.

Wish I had something more to offer,

The state of Georgia seems to have found something. They have an eradication program that kills large areas at a time. As long as there are birds though it will continue to spread back to those areas.
