Moving In Mud or Snow

My 1965 1075 wheel horse front tires doesnt grip in mud or snow, I mean not even the slightest bit. what tire could I use or cover can i put on the front tires? I will need the tractor for the next season coming!

Frankie,
When I was a kid, I remember pa rigging up the front tires on our old deer for plowing snow. What he basically had was a thick chain (like a bicycle chain) that was about the same size as the tire. He would deflate the tire enough to get the chain centered on it, and then re-inflate the tire to hold the chain in place. That thing really gripped good for turning! Very easy to make one at home too.

If there's a way you can rig up steering breaks, they work real well for what you describe.

Install tires with a fewer but larger, deeper lugs.

Try putting chains and filling tires it helps.
