My buddys voyager doesn't have any power. They sprayed either around the intake and it perked up but a new gasket didn't help. Running a short block with about 20,000 on it. Is this possibly a case where the manifold needs replacing? I know that some vehicles have manifolds that degrade. Sorry for the post but you guys are the most knowledgeble friends that I know. Jerry

What brand are you exactly talking about? Isn't a Voyager a Plymoth? If it's a Ford van, then is it an Areostar?

How about a Ford Explorer? Same as Mountaineer, different badges and packages.

The V-8 option came in 1996. Do you know what year your buddy's vehicle is?1996 was also the last year for the Bronco.

the mountaineer had the 5.0l v-8 but the explorer didn't. all it had was the 4.0, either a sohc or a ohv. first v-8 in an explorer was in 02 when the body changed and then i could have a 4.0 sohc v-6 or a 4.6l v-8.
