I'm looking for information on this item I have. I have owned it for several years. It is all contained in a wooden chest type box about +2 feet LxWxH (square cube) with strap handles like a trunk. Inside is a projector and a turntable for a large 78 rpm record (I think 78). The records are close to 2' in diameter and stand inside the case for storage. The turntable has its own amplifier and there are a series of short films that you put in the projector and move to the next frame by hand at the appropriate moment of the record. The films are contained each in their own little metal canister about 2" in diameter and about the same in height. The record contains both speech and music for the films. I'm just wondering how common these are and what you might know about them. I have only seen one other similar outfit which was much more compact (modern if you will).

There"s a guy on Ebay named John Bosler under, I think, bosfarmbooks who takes those old films and puts them on modern VCR tapes. I imagine someone like him would be very interested in your item. I"ve bought several films from John and enjoy them very much. John is a very above board guy and I think you should look into having the films copied for both the historical signifcance and the $$$$$ you could make.

WOW, that would be awesome to show at club meeting! It would make one think he had died and woke up 50 years ago. We could all be little boys again.

Then in later years they used reel to reel tapes for the narration and the teacher had a little button on the end of a cord and could advance the slides by "remote" control! Pretty cool hunnh?

Not at all, I knew what you meant. We used to watch them in school, just not about tractors.
