I have purchased a 1948 Barber-Greene tractor and I"m looking for any or all information I can get on it. It has a flathead six cylinder Dodge truck engine, two top load transmissions linked together, a cab, 7.50x18 front tires and 16x24 rears. Any information would be greatly appreciated! I could send a picture if you return your address. (Don"t know how to add a picture here.)
Thanks! Tugboat

Personally never seen a BarberGreene "tractor" as such, but have seen B-G "Road Maintainer"s in pics online and such.On the order of a large cabbed industrial shop mule or tug with grading and/or ditching equipment attached.Believe you can put a picture of interest in the Community Album or Tractor Photos pages here without the normal offsite photo linking, for reference.

I figured out how the guy told me to post the pic.
He said the pic needed to be on a website. A lot of ISPs have wizards to set up a personal website which you could use to get the pictures up. Once it is on a website you right click the picture and then go to properties. Hilite the URL in properties and copy it. Paste it into the field for "optional image URL" on the post page of this website and the pic should appear in the post. It worked when I did it and is the only way I know of to post a picture. Maybe someone else has a better way and I would love to know how myself. Hope you can put up some pics for us.

Get one of the resident computer nerds to give you instructions on the pics, then we can all see it and you can add it to the photo gallery. I followed their instructions a few weeks back and was able to post a picture. Unfortunately, I have since forgotten the procedure.:-)

I should have known. Well don't get your pocket protector in an uproar, nerd is just common terminology around here to describe the pale skinned, thin chested gods of the internet. Kind of like a trekkie. It wasn't a slam or anything.
Clean off your Coke-bottle bottom lenses and have another hit of that Jolt cola....you'll see what I mean.

I think stereotypes are a sin, don't you?

I may be thin chested but I got a big back side! Bub!! :? ) No, I tried to post here how to insert a photo but somehow it got posted in "How to Mount a Loader" Above this post. I don't know how that happend. Been a nerd most my life though. Being popular would have been more work than I thought it was worth. Spent my time trying to go bald. I'm a success there. If it wasn't for steriotyping I couldn't type at all.

That bald thing is a real bit.....er....bear! Never was captain of the football team myself. I am sitting here (God forgive me but I have to make a living) WORKING and I would really rather be doing something else. A guy was telling me last week about his five day a week job that gave him time to redo his hay racks. If mine are going to get done I'll have to hire him to do it!
My apologies to nerds the world over.
