Don't be affraid go for it ! You will also be amazed at how good the castings can turn out just by brush painting.

thanks i have painted the hood and gass tank which turned out great woundering if i should sand blast the rest of the tractor would i be better buying one or can i rent one

If your are wondering that is a pretty good indication you have not painted before. Not hard to learn, just take your time and don't try to make it green all at once. light coats and then the last time over get just enough on to make it glossy but not run. I showed a 16 year old boy how to paint a few years ago and his F12 Farmall came out real nice. You can use spray cans but I don't recomend it. Borrow a gun.

My word of advice. Take your time. Before you paint your tractor take a weekend and learn how to use a paint gun. Get the feel of it.Learn how to control the amount of paint to apply. That is what I was taught to do before painting my John deere B. I wish you the best of luck.
