Just got a good deal on a IH 806. Seem though that the linkage to get it into reverse is a little sloppy and is difficult to get into reverse. Has anyone worked on such a problem and am I in for a whopping good time repairing this? Thanks for the info

jump down to farmall board and ask for tractor vet. he can help you out. i've been in there before but can't explain it as well as he does. basicly you have to take the top cover off. there's a spring and ball and levers and a bunch of small parts that are out of whack or wore down. not a bad fix, just will take a little time.
