Not really. I go home to Bristol, IN. from Joliet, IL. every weekend. This past holiday weekend, was kind've hosed on I80 near IN. border because of construction and holiday traffic. But the two weekends before was a ghost town because of gas prices. This weekend is Indy car racing in Joliet on both Saturday and Sunday a mile or two south of I80 on Rt 53, so I80's going to be bad, but not as nearly as bad as when Nascar's in Joliet. The race on Sunday is 12:45 CST, but it's Indy (not as popular), so might not be so bad. I guess it depends on the time you'll be through. I90 doesn't go to I80 easily, have to go the skyway which has never not been screwed in my lifetime, and heard is really hosed by construction. Hmm, could try I90 so long as either meet up with I294 south to I80 east (meets just past worst bottleneck of the construction that's being reconfigured this weekend). Or I90 all the way into Chicago and cut down I57 to I80, which will get you past the race traffic, but direct you into that bottleneck of the construction on I80 headed to the I94 meet up. Rt 30's going to be hosed in and around Joliet and is never good period once start getting west of Joliet. Basically, you've got problems. I'm thinking I90 to I294 (2 or 3 - 80 cent tolls) to I80 to I94 to Michigan. Or take your chances on I80 all the way. Is plenty of construction in Indiana on I80, but it flows good, and traffic has been low (fuel prices). Hope everyone in the Gary area's in church for your sake. Best I can do. I'll be at the Indy races this weekend getting paid double time to baby sit the phone systems, so... Next weekend going home oughta be a breeze for me. Mark
