I have a Leyland model 384 farm tractor with a blown engine. A connecting rod came through the side of the block and destroyed a coolant passage. So I need to replace the block and other parts, but I haven't had any luck finding parts. A complete short block would be ideal. I think it has about a 73 HP Perkins diesel. Does anyone know of a source for parts or a short block?

I am interested in the PO output and sleeve shaft. If the price is right the whole PO.

Joe: sorry about your tractor, but 384's, at least the early ones had a habit of doing that. You need a 230 cid Leyland engine. Leyland used the 152 Perkins engine in the model 245 but it won't fit yours. Sorry, but you are going to have to hit the wrecking yards and if you get a good parts man, see if he can advise you if a 4/98 series engine will fit. Same size, same power but a much stronger, more durable engine. Good Luck.
