If you are replaceing with new go with the 35/8 makes it a c175 cid like a 350 motor.

Do yourself a big favor. Either get a set of mic's or a vernier caliper and snap gauges. The caliper is available for about 30 bucks for a decent offshore digital. I'm guessing that if you round out the hundred, you will also have the snap gauges.... Then you can measure the pistons, sleeves and all the bores. A hundred bucks is far cheaper than buggering an engine job because of mismatched pistons. You should still check the bore as a matter of course. Not doing so is not worth the risk..... ....

Pay attention to the wrist pin dia. also. Pistons may come with .875 pins versus the other size which is 1.1088 in. dia. Adaptor bushings are available from IH #366883R92. I am assuming you are doing the pistons as well as the sleeves.

do you have a steel rule? they are likely either 3 5/8 or 3 9/16 and even I, if I take my glasses off and use my imagination can tell within a sixteenth.

Today at NAPA the Farmall 300 showed 3 different sizes of cylinders--what are the 3 sizes, and by the way do you measure from side to side of the cylinder or from side to side of the sleeve?

Can't you measure the piston with a micrometer?

Your gonna have to get those pistons outta there if ya plan on replacin"em.. getcha a cheap set of snap gauges and a pair of dial calipers, use the snap guages to measure the hole, then measure the guage with the calipers..micrometers would be way better, but calipers will getcha in the ballpark..
