I am sitting at this danged old computer and just realized how small the world is. Years ago I was in Japan and ran into a young woman who later came to stay in my home town on completely unrelated business. I have been to the east coast twice in my life and ran into classmates (21 in my graduating class) at the Smithsonian on the two seperate occasions. Just recently through this site and an Allis forum I reunited a fellow from IL with his Grandfathers tractor origionaly in KS then MO later IA. He possibly has my Grandfathers tractor too! Now below a friend from Western NE has referenced another friend of mine in his post below. I even have a Russian E-Pal! Could you emagine that in the 60s or 70s?!?!? Don't know if it is just my dumb luck as I stumble through life or this all happens to everyone. If it is indeed everyone then I think we need to all start taking off our hats at the dinner table, eating with our familys, Walking on the inside of the street and open doors for ladies again. A little less time should be spent on our own wants and a little more on others needs. Even if there are people that don't believe in God, maybe they should at least hope there is, because the world is spinning faster and shrinking. We need all the help we can get from anywhere it is available. We as Country people, Farmers, Ranchers Cattlemen need to become neighbors once again. Every one needs a good farm dog too.

Ahh just woke up in a sentimental mood tis all. Bill

Sloroll and 730virgil to answer you both. I changed jobs again and have been keeping the roads between Cape Girardeau and Kansas City pretty warm. This is a family owned operation and the most laid back bunch I have ever worked for and I like it there, don't have a tight schedule to keep and don't feel the stress I used to have. You guys have a good un and I will talk to you later. Tom

I couldn't agree more. I fly a 747-400 for a major airline and see quite a bit of the world. It is VERY small. We all need to take care of our neighbors. I'm leaving for Hong Kong and Singapore tommorow.

Light aircraft are still my favorite. I owned a T-6 for seven years and that is still my favorite aircraft. I still fly a 1968 172 that our family has had for the last 20 years. It's a hoot to fly the 747 but pistons and props are more fun anyday.

The only words that come to mind as I read this are "I wholeheartedly agree" and "Amen".

Very well said. Yes, the world is becoming smaller, but at the same time it is becoming more crowded and much more competitive. Years ago our fathers needed their neighbors for help putting the crop in, getting it out, maybe even raising a new barn, and the neighbors were more than happy to lend a hand, because in return they would recieve a helping hand. It really is no different today except that the neighbors are much further apart. Through the power of the internet we can still be neighbors, and lend a helping hand whenever and where ever needed.

absolutely and that is one of the main reasons I started lurking and posting on this site - most everyone here is very helpful and supportive of each other - even though most don't even know each other - when someone asks for help, you guys do what you can to assist. I think that is the heart and soul of existence in this cruel old world. You guys are the best! Thanks for helping out when someone is in need.....
