You have a 1958 Ford 641 Workmaster. As already mentioned, the 641 was just one of the models offered in the 601 series. Workmaster was a marketing name given to all models in the 601 and 701 series (801 and 901 series models were given the name Powermaster).

Your serial number indicates your tractor left the factory in December 1958 and was the 1,634th tractor built that month out of 5,048.

You have a series 601 tractor Powermaster was what they where called as far as a name for them the 4 in the number tells you it has a 4 speed tranny. Theres a lot more info about them but since you have a 641 thats all you need as far as to what you have. Others may explain more about the number system.

Old, not to nitpick cause you add alot of good info and advice, but the 601 series did use the Workmaster name. The 801 series used the Powermaster name.

John 13, the 601 series used red on the belly and the hood. The wheels, grille, and fenders were gray. Do a search for 641 in the photo achives, there are some good pictures of restored ones to see.

I didn't say any thing about the paint LOL. I wasn't 100% sure on power or work so I did a guess there. But I did understand the 641 and what it was saying. But I also have an 841 so that was simple to guess on LOL. Thats also where the power/work master got me. LOl
