Hi
I have a Massey 1150 with 30x32rear tyres of which one is punctured. How difficult is it going to be to get out the tube for repair without specialized equipment? Any suggestions or advice would be useful.
Thanks for now.

Billy,
Unfortunatly, it's almost impossible to do this job without special tools. With rear tyres, I prefer to leave the rim on the tractor as handling them off the tractor can be a little dangerous, espcially when you're on your own. There are a ship load of bead breakers out there. JD make a good one: you hammer it into the bead then turn a screw thread which forces the bead off the rim. You can make a home made breaker out angle iron. Cut a piece about 4 inches long and weld some round stock to the middle of one flat side. Take a large hammer and drive the angle iron betwween the bead and the rim. It takes a lot of effort and you will probably have to go round a few times. There have been past posts that have covered this topic with some good tips and info. Might be worth a look.

At the very least you need 2 tire bars, and some way to brake the tire down. I use a tire hammer but you might get by with a spliting maul or loader to brake them dowm.
