Just wondering if anybody has ever looked into becoming a dealer for TISCO? Would they deal with an individual without business tax numbers? Their website has a link to become a dealer, and they don't ask any specific questions about a tax number or anything on there. Just thought I'd ask on here before submitting the form and giving it a try.

The small farm supply store in my town is a TISCO dealer, but they charge ridiculous prices on almost everything. I can order from online stores and get things shipped to my door for under half price lots of times. I like to keep my business local and help support the small guys, but they are just outrageous. I try to get things from the local NAPA or online before going through them.

You must have tax number and DBA and the minimum order is $3000. And if you have a dealer close they may not let you be a dealer. I know i would be upset if they opened a dealer next store to me. Email me and i will send you a link as i discount may may items.

I have a friend that works on tractors for a living (he is retired). Big expensive parts I need, I give him a call and he orders them. He gets all his Tisco parts from the local John Deere dealer that charges him 10% above cost. The dealer makes money off him and they said the work he does doesn't enterfere with their business anyway.I get my parts at my buddys cost.

You need to be set up as a business with a retail sales tax permit. You also need to submit an initial order in the amount of $1,000 to qualify.

Unless you really need a lot of parts and supplies every year you may have to go in competition with the local stores because yes you have to be set up as a business and will have to buy a minimum amount from them each year to be and remain a dealer. Those local businesses have to pay freight, wages, taxes, utilities, ect... too.... Search their site for other TISCO dealers in your area.

My late father always said; "buy local only if you can AFFORD it".
