I am about to give up and just have a local person redo the seats in my pickup.
I have a 96 Dodge 3/4 ton with a Cummins diesel.
It has a lot of miles, but the engine and drive train are perfect. No dents, cracks or anything. Just a darn good truck.
My problem is, the drivers seat is starting to go. Not like a lot of others I've seen, but starting to wear.
I have looked everywhere trying to find a salvage seat from a yard. No one seems to have a good one.
Any of you know of a good salvage yard near you? I am just outside of Houston, but do not mind paying freight if need be.
If it's on the way to Indiana I may just pay for it and pick it up this Summer. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

I might try that Harley...wanted to keep it orignal though.
May look strange ...it has the gray tweed material right now.
Thanks all.
Have a great day.

You might try one of the truck accessary places, they often take out stock seats to put in some new custom style seats, they some times give you a deal on them as they tend to have more than they know what to do with. It's worth a try. Jim in N M

My Dodge seat was just worn on the outer edge of the bottom and I had a local upolstry shop fix that part for around $60-$70 They also said they got the last of the gray material from the supplier.

Well tryen to find a used set is almost imposable so what i have done is BIT the bullet ans bought a new foam cushion and cover and put them on myself , Now this is not cheap to do as the cover will get into your pocket book and all ya need for tools is a set of hog ring pliers and the wrenches and screwdriver . Now for me i still get a big dicount on the parts i get from dodge since i was a chrysler mechanic and also parts manager for years so that is one of the reasons that i do buy OEM . I am also going to have to do that to my 95 here shortly along with a new head liner.

I'd have it redone. Most pickup seats don't hold up long if the driver weighs much over 150 pounds. Have your upolsterer put exta firm support in it.

You can either have it redone, which will keep it factory, or go on ebay, under truck parts, and get a pair like I did of high back fold ahead foam cushion Freightliner truck seats, bolt them in, and your"re ready to go. They were lots better than the original seats. Just your preference. Harley
