The siding on my tractor. Oh sorry. I mean on the north side of my house near the top is yellowing and nothing wants to clean it. It's 35 years old but the west side is ok just sun faded. I washed it with stong mixture of bleach , water and dish soap. Another muriatic acid and water on a warm day. Have a pressure washer, 2400psi, but don't think it'll touch this stuff. I inhaled some of the fumes wednesday, chest still sore when I cough. Thanks for the time,DAN

I have had much experience with Aluminum Siding over the years and have yet seen where the Siding failed but have seen many cases of Paint failure. Even some of the painted Steel Products for Barns such as Strongpanel experience Paint failure. The new Kynar paints for Steel Products being a Polyester base are a great improvement.Likewise Paint for Aluminum Siding refinishing is much better than what originally was used.If your Siding is dent and damage free a repaint with an correct Paint is not a big deal if done properly. Some Proffesional Painters ,but not all, can do the job right and you will be well satisfied. The North side of a Tree, Roof, House Side wall are always subject to Mold etc. more so than the South. If any thing the sun activates Chemicals in the Paint to preserve it. My View Point.

Thanks for the replys. Never knew it had yellow primer. Odd it did it on the north side because the south and west get the sun where it's just fadded. We're building a new house and already put alot into this one to get it ready. Real estate around here is'it selling. So we lower the price and try to make things right. Our real estate gal's a joke.Socker mom. Never had showing for 4 months till I theatened to drop her contract. Thanks again DAN. P.S. This WAS tractor related, right?

I'm kind of upset finding out a little while ago by a siding salesman that is a friend and goes into surrounding states. He told me that In the court of law lifetime siding is 7 years. He said that if your lifetime siding fails after 6 years it is better to forget a law suit, as it would be a prorated adjustment based on the 7 years. Now ain't that a kick in the crotch.

I guess however in all fairness my puter has given me lots of troubles as well as many appliances that were still new, and they have been inside a warm house. It is kind of sad how our quality of products to the consumer have went in the crapper, and we the consumer have thrown our hands in the air and given up. Dave NE IA

What you are seeing is the Primer Paint for the top Coating. Aluminum Siding is Painted although some people seem to think it is a Color clear thru.Coil Aluminum Sheet is run thru a Coating Line at the Factory where Primer and Paint are applied. Siding can be repainted if Directions from the Paint Mfg. are followed. Air less Spray is the method of choice. Prepare the surface. mask off Windows Doors etc.Prime Bare spots and apply at least two coats of recommend Paint. Enjoy another 35 years.Less costly than Resideing.
