I RECENTLY PICKED UP A 9N WITH A LOADER, AND DEARBORN POST HOLE DIGGER. WHEN I TRY TO START IT AND LET THE CHOKE OFF, IT LEAKS FUEL OUT OF THE CARBURATOR (OF COURSE IT WON'T START). ANY IDEAS? ALSO, THE POST HOLE DIGGER HAS SOME LONG ARMS THAT I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THEY ATTACH TOO. THANKS

all the info was good- but we have worked on these for yrs-- don't make the job any harder than it nees to be-- usually it is either the needle seat is dirty or sticky or the float is leasing and filling up with gas,( the most likely) these are easy fixes- if you can't do it take off the carb and take it to a shop and let them check it for you- as others said a kit is not expensive and should do the trick-- et. you also need spark check that easily

It probably has no spark, or simply has fouled spark plugs. It is easy to choke it enough while cranking, to make gas run out of the carburetor, if it does not start.

A carburetor badly in need of repair will likely leak gas out at all times there is gas in the tank, and the shutoff valve is "ON", not only after an attempt at starting it.

The digger is probily a Danuser made for Dearborn The long arms attach under the axle on the stabilizer brackets so the auger will go down straight without moving the tractor forward or back.Look on the arms for another tag that will say Danuser Mfg.

If the tractor doesn't have the stabilizer brackets under the axle held on by the fender bolts you will have to add them.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP, THE LACK OF SPARK IS SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD PLACE TO START. IT LOOKS LIKE IT HAS NEW PLUGS, BUT MAYBE THEY GOT TOO MUCH FUEL? THE DIGGER IS A DANUSER/DEARBORN. I TRY TO LOCATE THE BRACKETS UNDER THE AXEL. THANKS AGAIN.

Soak it in NAPA laquer thinner for 24 hours after you take it apart and then make sure all the passages are blowed out with air. Then put in a new kit, making sure you have all the parts in right. The arms depending on where they are located could be for standing it up when you take it off or they could be down pressure arms for someone to hold on to to get more down pressure when drilling a hole.

The carburetor should be a Marvel/Schebler TSX33. Probably needs a total rebuild, but might just need the needle and seat replaced. A complete rebuild kit will be around $25 if you do it yourself.
