Hey all you early birds...Be quiet, I'm trying to sleep.
Got up this morning at 10:30 to answer the phone but they hung up before I could get it...the nerve of some people. Decided that since I was up I might as well stay up and think about what I should do today. Now it's 12:50 and I think that I'll finish the taxes.

Y'all don't work too hard, actually I wish that I could but I suffered a back injury over six years ago and haven't been able to work since. Sure miss it though.

Being lazy for the start of today as it is been raining off and on but is suppose to clear off later on , now for todays TO DO list is weld end plate back on the disk strighten the rear wing back into place welld back on the hold down bolts , Then it is doing a full service on the the 1066 put the right dual on and hook it up to the disk next Billy is going to bring the new to them 1066 over for me to go over it we had it out the other evening for the first time since they bought it last fall and put the plow on it , now that was a site to see Billy on a 1066 for the second time in his 70 years tryen to learn how to plow with a 5 bottom semi mount after plowen all these years with a S/MTA and 3 bottom drag plows , Eugene and i were tryen to give him pointers but he is having a hard time with all the controls and quite affarid of the power and size of it when i went home tuesday evening he was running along in low 3rd about 2/3 throttel then it happened he hit a tough spot and brought the ft. up as he told me yesterday it was way up when he got the clutch down and scared him so he quit so yesterday i finished that field and that tough spot that scared him well, when i started where he left off when i dropped the plow in 4 th low it brought the ft. up about 4 ft. and carried it for 15-20 ft then setteled back down and on the next round she came up again about 4 ft and this is with a 1000 lbs on the ft. He tells me that his S/MTA never did that he would just spin out and lift the plow there .So we are going to do and oil changes fix the one shifter as it is loose and put new landsides on the plow. then he or his boys can finish there plowen and we are planing on starting planting either by the end of next week or by the next all depends on old mother nature. I still have to do a couple changes to the planter this year.

A wise old author once wrote:

"It's fine to recline on the flat of one's spine,
With never a thought in one's head:
It's lovely to lie staring up at the sky
When others are earning their bread.
It's great to feel one with the soil and the sun,
Drowned deep in the grasses so tall;
Oh, it's noble to sweat, and dollars to get,
But...it's grand to do nothing at all!"

I'm starting to think that's not a bad idea at times.☺☺☺

What I liked most today was that effect you mentioned and a fellow just south of here with a newer JD on his first pass furrow turning over pasture with his lights on. It would have been a great picture. Saw several puffs of exhaust as the farmers were starting their day. I hated to come back and start mine. The banker insists it happen though.

Got a JD544G in the bay needing some work as well as a A-Car water truck needing front tires. Then pick up an injection pump for my neighbors 4020 on the way home. Might put it on the evening or maybe tomorrow.

Well good morning! Thanks to "Our Man Mitch" here in PARTS of IN we now have lost an hour of morning daylight to gain an hour in the evening. What does this mean? We will be baling hay till about 10 pm! And we no longer have control of the toll road that runs through the state, he leased it out for 75 years. Excuse me I am gonna get off this box before I get started. Have a good morning, a good day, and a good evening.

When ya get a flat tire on the front end of a loader tractor, hook a chain from the loader bucket to the front end and just use the loader to lift it up to change the tire. :>)
