I am in the process of bringing my diesel 1967 AC I600 tractor w/ backhoe back to life. Fortunately (thanks to you guys) I"ve found a good sorce for parts. Unfortunately I have to keep calling long distance to get the part numbers figured out & this is starting to become a pain. I have the original 1967 parts catalog for this tractor but none of the part numbers inside are good any more. For whatever reason, they have been superceeded or changed over the years. The old numbers mean nothing to most tractor dealers & they don"t have a clue how to cross reference. My question is: How can I cross reference these numbers myself? I"ve thought about purchasing a new parts catalog, but I don"t want to spend the money & end up with the same thing I already have. Have the parts catalogs found on-line have updated info or are they simply reprints of the out of date originals? Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Tim

I received my manuals / parts books in the mail today. I"m sorry to say they are just photo-copy reprints of the originals with the same old obsolete part numbers. Just in case anyone else wants to gamble like I did, I don"t recommend getting your manuals from Yesterday"s Tractors in Port Townsend....cause that"s what I did. Not sure what I"ll try next, but if I find a better way to cross-over to good numbers I"ll let you all know. Thanks for trying to help. Tim

This site works for some of the older equipment brands.

Click on "I am not a dealer" to get into the cross-ref page.

Most of the numbers are the old number with a 7 or 70 added to the front. There are as you said, totally replaced numbers. If you get a parts catalog with a close to current date, it should have the new numbers in it.

I just went and spent $150 on manuals. Couldn't find any reference to print dates. I hope this solves my problem. Thanks for the help. Tim

PS, that on-line cross reference thing didn't work for me. I tried several different part numbers, but it came up with with nothing...even when I tried a some known good numbers. I'll try it again when I get the new manuals & hopefully will have better results.
