Hi everybody, we just had a nieghbor that was driving down a farm to market road at night and the only light he had on the back was white non-flashing type. He was on the back side of a hill and an 18-wheelercame over, when he saw that light he thought a car was in over in his lane so he swerved to the right. The tractor driver tried to hit the ditch and the truck just plowed into him. It broke the left axle off, broke the tractor in half at the transmission, broke the left front axle off,and sent the left side of loader over to the right side. They said they found him in ditch, next to the tractor. He is in critical condition, with a broke leg, pelvis broken in several places, colaspped lung, and kidney trouble. They say he should live and be able to have a decent life but it's still tragic. I have a flashing yellow light on mine and minimize after dark travel. Just a reminder to be careful after dark and please add him in your prayers, his name is Larry.

A couple of battery powered flashing red LED tail lights for bicycles can be had for about the price of a 24 of beer. If your tractor or implement isn't equiped with proper tail lights, then get some it.

Wow , such a trajety . I can't understand why people don't use proper lighting after dark . My Ford 600 has (2)tail lights plus flashers . I like to feel that extra safety . Thanks for sharing that story . I'll remember him & his family . God bless . Ken
