Man the heat and humidity im Michigan right now is about enough to make you crazy. We had some storms go through but all it did was make the humidity go up. I hope this all goes away pretty soon. Now it is raining outside again and there is not a drop of wind and the mosquitoes are absolutely out of control. I don't have central air, just a window air conditioner which is almost useless. I think I will be looking into central air after this year. I can never remember a summer this hot and humid ever in this state. I used to sleep in a two story house upstairs when I was a kid with no air conditioning and never remember anything like this. All I want is 75 degrees, low humidity, for a couple of weeks. That would make it feel so much better around here and everywhere else that is also suffering. It just keeps heating up and it is like a rain forest around here. Seems like too much of a good thing can end up being a bad thing. I am looking forward to snow more than I ever have been. That isn't even normal around here anymore either. Seems like we get a lot of wet, slushy, foggy winter days more than we do just cold and dry anymore. I think michigan wants to be a swamp again!

Nephew is a trucker and is out in Missouri, I think, anyhow he said another trucker told him it was so hot that he saw a bird pulling a worm out of the ground using a pot holder. Hang in there...and don"t complain too much or we"ll have snow galore next winter. Fred OH

Been pretty hot here too, but not unbearable from my point of view. Good for sweatin' the pounds off. I don't recall having a summer this wet though, but best blackberries ever. There's always a bright side to things.

I have never seen a summer like this either. I am having a hell of time getting hay baled. This is the worst summer ever for me.

Kind of hard for us to sympathize with you all when I live in a place that has not been below 72° in the past 6 weeks and our all time record low for July is 62° .

Take it one day at a time and drink your water.
Only 10 more weeks to go before our first cold front will come through and give us some relief.

Boys!, ....WELCOME TO CENTRAL TEXAS. This kind od heat is the norm for us. I know it doesn't help to say... It will pass in 70 days or so. But it will.
My Pointers to Help Get You Through!
1..Quit listening to Any and All Weather reports....it is hot and will remain so for 70 days or so!
2..Just keep a runners attitude...just get throught it. One day, week, month at a time.
3..Just stay on top of your water responsibilities, Well, Livestock, Home. If you hadn't by now...Abandon the yard, Garden and the like, as far as wasteful watering.
4...Oh yea...Did I say STOP Listening to Weathers Reports.
We are in the dead middlle of Shake & Bake time down here, D@mn it is not even funny at all. We all ready know that the only way to get relief here is for a hurricane to come into the Gulf and come onto Texas around Corpus Christy. If that Doesn't happen..... then it is Mid-Oct when the weather patterns change. So turn off the TV and Radio weater report It is Hot, and I do not need to know the exact temp for the next 70 days or so. It is My mind game that works for me.
I Pray for rain for all who need it and dry for all who have all ready had enough.
Later,
John A.

I know what you mean. It was so hot and humid yesterday and they had all these poor senior citizens on tv that had no air cond and they were crying. I felt so bad for them.

I don't know what part of Michigan you are in, but Green Bay WI had that heat all of last weekend thru Tuesday night. And don't worry it does cool off some, I know that it seems like forever. Be careful about that snow you wish for now might just be what you will not want any more of 6 months from now. The heat may not look so bad then.

It has rained so hard here for the last three hours I cannot imagine what it will look like in the morning. There are literally lakes forming out in the yard right now. I have never seen it rain this hard ever for this long of a time in my life. Just refuses to let up one bit. I will be curious to find out the total in the morning. I am guessing 3-5 inches at this point. Neighbor said the other day that his crops probably could not get much worse but he might be in for a suprise tomorrow.

Morning guys; Well we have a bit of a cool down here in northern MN. And a welcome one at that. Outside temp now is 60.9 f. Will be in hi 80s today. I can take 100 at low humidity much better than 88 at 80% humidity. Problems of one kind of another all over. Started cutting weeds in what was to be alfalfa field yesterday, late start so going out now to finish it up early. Hope it gets better for all.. Bob

Well, we ended up so far with just a touch over 3 inches of rain. It is clouldy this morning and still drizzling out a little. Mosquitoes are pretty brutal and its a wet mess for now. Has cooled off a little and hopefully we can start looking better this week. Sure was a long night though. Later people.

Make that 4 inches before it was done!. Finally the blue skies got here and the temps went down about 4pm today. Relatives about 15 miles south of me only got 1 1/2 inches. They are trying to play the Buick open today over in Flint and they had to cancel it after halfway through the first round. Tomorrow should be very nice for them to play. Hope we have a couple of nice weeks of those blue skies again. That makes a solid 16 inches of rain in about 3 weeks time. I never thought I would see that during the summer. If I could I would send it to texas! I have a sister and family down there. Later People.
